Terms of service
These terms keep things fair on both sides of the anvil. By browsing this store, requesting a quote, or placing an order with Dice Warden Forge ("the forge", "we", "us"), you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the store.
1. What we sell
The forge sells 3D-printed tabletop gaming products and related services: stock scatter and terrain sets, made-to-order prints, high-detail resin miniatures and busts, miniature painting and finishing, dice accessories, and custom commission work. Custom work is sold through a quote-request flow — a quote request is not an order until we confirm scope and price and you accept.
2. Quotes and ordering
- Quotes describe scope, materials, finish level, price, and estimated turnaround. A quote is valid for 14 days unless it says otherwise.
- Prices framed as "from $X" or as a range are starting points; the final price is the one on your accepted quote or checkout.
- Custom commissions may require a deposit (typically 50%) before work begins. Deposits cover design and setup time and are non-refundable once work has started.
- We may decline any quote request or order at our discretion, including requests we cannot legally or practically fulfill.
3. Custom commissions and approvals
- For commissions, we will confirm the design with you (renders, photos, or proofs as appropriate) before final production. Turnaround clocks start after your approval.
- Reasonable revision rounds are included as stated in your quote; additional revisions may be quoted separately.
- Because custom items are made specifically for you, approved custom work is final sale except as covered under Section 8 (defects and damage).
4. Customer files and intellectual property
- If you supply a 3D model or artwork, you confirm you own it or hold a license that permits us to print it for you. You are responsible for the rights to files you send.
- We do not print files that infringe third-party intellectual property, and we may refuse any file at our discretion.
- Designs created by the forge remain our intellectual property unless your quote states otherwise. You receive the physical pieces; the design files stay with the forge.
- Where we print third-party designs, we do so under the applicable commercial licenses we hold.
5. Pricing and payment
All prices are in US dollars unless shown otherwise. Payment is processed at checkout through Shopify's payment providers, or as arranged on your accepted quote for commission work. Applicable taxes and shipping are added at checkout. We may correct pricing errors on the site; if an error affects an order you placed, we will contact you before proceeding.
6. Production and turnaround
Turnaround estimates are given in good faith and depend on queue depth, material availability, and scope. They are estimates, not guarantees. If a delay materially affects your deadline, we will tell you as soon as we know and work out options with you. 3D-printed items are handmade goods: minor layer lines, small surface marks, and slight color variation between batches are normal characteristics of the process, not defects.
7. Shipping and risk of loss
Orders ship to the address you provide; please check it carefully. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier accepts the package. We are not responsible for carrier delays, but we will help you file claims for packages lost or damaged in transit. Local pickup or delivery, where offered, is arranged directly with the forge.
8. Returns, refunds, and damaged items
- Damaged or defective: photograph the packaging and the piece and contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will reprint, repair, refund, or credit — our call in consultation with you, at no cost to you for genuine defects.
- Stock (non-custom) items: unused, unpainted stock items may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the item price; return shipping is on you unless we shipped the wrong item.
- Custom and made-to-order items: final sale except for defects or damage as above.
- Painted work: paint is applied by hand to your approved spec and is final sale except for transit damage.
9. Product safety
Our products are hobby and gaming pieces for adults and older teens. They are not toys, they contain small parts, and they are a choking hazard for young children. Miniatures and terrain are not rated for food contact. Resin pieces are shipped fully cured; do not sand or modify resin without appropriate protection.
10. Store use and conduct
You agree not to misuse the store: no unlawful use, no attempting to breach its security, no scraping at scale, and no submitting content or files that are illegal or infringing. We may refuse service, cancel orders, or close accounts where these terms are violated.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except where the law says otherwise, products and services are provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located in that state unless applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use of the store after changes means you accept them. Material changes to an in-progress commission will always be agreed with you directly.
